A Well-spent Evening

Perhaps Lisa Zimmerman put it best:  last night’s reading and art show in honor of Rocky Mountain National Park was ekphrastic poetry in reverse.  Artist Jim Disney, working with poet Veronica Patterson, teamed slides of his art with poetry reflective of the Park.  It was a stirring evening, dare I say reverent, well attended and enjoyed by all from what I could see.

With that, the events for Poetry Month are winding down, but don’t forget the “Card Catalog” poetry workshop at the Loveland Library during the lunch hour today!

Also, the poems in windows of 60 businesses will remain until the end of the month—how about setting out on a bike ride to see them all?  I believe that the Loveland museum has a list with all of the addresses.

And let me end with a suggestion to put the People’s Market on your calendar:  next Saturday, May 2 from 10 to 5 in at the Foote Lagoon in Loveland.   Among other delights is, I understand, a letterpress/bookbinding booth which should be of interest to all who are attracted to words on pages.
