Fun Words for a Rainy Day

This from Visual Thesaurus (a fun tool—check it out) Murmur: This word, denoting a low indistinct sound (among other things), has many companions in English that are (1) imitative in origin, and (2) reduplicative. Some fellow travelers include tut-tut, pooh-pooh, susurrus, and splish-splash.
