Wow! Refractions, yesterday at the Rialto, was just stunning. ‘Can’t remember the last time I attended such a remarkable event. Veronica’s Patterson’s original poetry was some of her best (and that is saying something!) The piano performance by pianists Miroslava Mintcheva and David McArthur really showed the range of this instrument, especially its percussive nature. The art projected on the screen added texture, although it would have been nice to know the titles of the works and the artists (for those of us not well enough versed in art to recognize them).

This week I highly recommend Thursday evening’s prose reading by Judy Doenges from the English Department at CSU. The reading is at 7:30 in the Hatton Gallery in the Art Building on the CSU Campus. It’s free!
