Save the date: 7 p.m. December 9

Two new books from two of Colorado’s premier poets come together in one great reading in early December.  And since it will be broadcast via Zoom, it is easy (and safe) to attend.  (Zoom details will be posted on the Loveland Poet Laureate FB page closer to the date.)

On Thursday evening, December 9, Lisa Zimmerman and Joe Hutchinson will read (at  7 p.m.) in celebration of their new books. The reading is the latest in the quarterly series sponsored by Loveland’s Poet Laureate.

Zimmerman’s chapbook Saints was published in October by Main Street Rag Publishing Company.   She is a Creative Writing professor at the University of Northern Colorado and the author of numerous books.

Joseph Hutchinson describes his latest collection, Under Sleep’s New Moon, as “rescued poems”: ones he reworked from earlier versions/drafts.  Hutchinson is a past Colorado State Poet Laureate (2014-2019).

And while you are putting December 9 on your calendar, block off 1-3 on December 19 as well, for the Winter installment of the seasonal readings from the Regional Poets including the Loveland Poet Laureate.  More about that later in another post.
