Guess I could use this space to promote my own events—duh!
This is rather late notice if you hadn’t already heard, but tomorrow night (Saturday, June 7) my daughter, mezzo-soprano Kate Mathews, will be giving a recital of Aaron Copland’s musical settings of 12 Poems by Emily Dickinson. I will be reading some poems between songs and talking a little bit about Dickinson.
It all gets underway at 7:30 p.m. at the Magnolia Music Studio in Fort Collins (downstairs at 210 Magnolia—one block North of Mulberry between Mason and Howes. Tickets are available by credit card online (www.EmilyDickinson.BrownPaperTickets.com) or at the door. Cash at the door will save you a dollar and change per ticket (as well as some time), but you can pay by plastic in person as well.
