On the heels of last week's writing confernece at UNC is another great event this week--Life and Loss: The Stories We Tell Through the Arts.
If you are interested in an evening of visual art, movement, poetry, and music, and are not intimidated by the subject matter--death, dying and survival (LIFE, in other words!)--you won't want to miss this event.
The rehearsal last night (I am among the poets) was very moving—one of the more stunning events in which I have ever partaken. The line up includes Nancy Jakobsson, Veronica Patterson, Lisa Zimmerman, Tom Pappas, Jonathan Hillman, Judy Bejarano and dancers from her Impact Dance Company, Angela Canada-Hopkins.
So, if you are looking for an inspiring evening and don’t mind the possibility of shedding a tear or two, please do come and support this wonderful cause: the modest cover charge goes to the expressive therapy programs at Pathways Hospice.
And do pass this message along to others you know who might be interested.
Thursday, March 29th, 7:00 PM
