How the Light Gets In

Tonight you have a second opportunity to encounter Encounters at Artworks.  The Gallery will be open during Night on the Town, from 6-9.

At 6:30 p.m., three sets of artists and poets who “encountered” each other as part of the current exhibit will touch on the processes that created their paired poems and works of visual art. One impulse behind the exhibit is Leonard Cohen’s line “How the light gets in” (from “Anthem).

The final public encounter for this amazing show at Artworks will be next Thursday, May 18.  But more about that in another post.

In addition to Encounters in the South Gallery of Artworks, a new exhibit is opening in the north gallery tonight, with a performance at 7 p.m.  And of course other galleries and shops in downtown Loveland are open until 9 as well.
