Early August Poetry Event Not to be Missed!

Northern Colorado poets Bill Tremblay and Chloe Leisure will present two free events at the Loveland Public Library in August (but donations accepted).

The first, a collaborative poetry reading, will take place on Friday evening, August 5th,  from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  at the Loveland Library.

The second, Crossing Thresholds: Moving Your Poems into New Territory, a poetry writing workshop, will be offered on Saturday morning, August 6th, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., also at the Loveland Library.  Since space is limited for the workshop, advance registration is required; email therese.torpy@cityofloveland.org, with your phone and email address, or call 970-962-2407 if you are interested.
The events are sponsored by the Friends of the Loveland Public Library and the Columbine Poets, Northern Colorado Chapter.

Bill Tremblay is the author of eight poetry collections, including Crying in the Cheap Seats, Duhamel, Shooting Script: Door of Fire, Magician’s Hat, and a novel, The June Rise. Since 1973, he has lived in Fort Collins, Colorado, where he was, for many years, editor of the Colorado Review. He has been the recipient of many awards, including from the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Fulbright Foundation. He has been an award-winning, legendary teacher at Colorado State University. Walks Along the Ditch (Lynx House Press) is new this year.

Chloe Leisure lives in Fort Collins, where she writes, works, and teaches creative writing in enrichment programs with Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.  A past Fort Collins Poet Laureate, she is the author of the chapbook, The End of the World Again, and is at work on a full-length poetry collection.
