Reading From New Work by Veronica Patterson this Friday

It is a busy week, with readings Tuesday, Thursday and Friday!   While I encourage you to attend them all, the latter is the one I most highly recommend. 

At 6:00 p.m.on Friday, December 13, Veronica Patterson will read from her latest collection, Maneuvers, from Finishing Line Press.  The poems in this chapbook were inspired by a variety of sources about the Battle of the Little Bighorn, including Lakota recollections, military records, the land, battlefield archeology, letters, and artifacts.  The reading will be complemented with projected images of the battlefield and some artifacts of the era.

Note the early start (6:00 p.m.),  at the Loveland Museum and Gallery on Lincoln.  That will leave plenty of time to enjoy dinner at one of the fine restaurants in downtown Loveland over which you can discuss the remarkable work you have just heard.    See you there!
