Great reading by CSU English Department prof Judy Doenges last night at the Hatton Gallery on the CSU campus. (‘Hope none of you are still wandering around trying to find it!) Judy read a story about a meth “colony”—my term. Fascinating. Researched. Believable and interesting characters. Check out her novel The Most Beautiful Girl in the World and her short fiction collection, What She Left Me.
Next up in the CSU reading series: Dorothy Allison, author of Bastard out of Carolina among other great titles. Big crowd expected for this free event, so it will be held in 131 of the new Behavioral Sciences Building, Thursday, October 11, 7:30 p.m. For more information: http://central.colostate.edu/event/creative-writing-reading-series-dorothy-allison-poetryfiction/
