Well, the Hospice event last Thursday went smashingly. Room full of people, very meaningful event: I can’t say enough about the combination of the arts: painting, singing, instrumental music, poetry, dance! Another such event (combining two three: visual art, poetry and music) is on tap at the Loveland Museum and Gallery in July, so stay tuned for that.
Closer in time, this Thursday, April 5 (if you are not in my writing salon) you might want to attend Dorothy Wickenden’s reading 7 p.m. at the Hilton Fort Collins, 425 W. Prospect. The New Yorker executive editor will be reading from her book Nothing Daunted: The Unexpected Education of Two Society Girls in the West. The event is free and open to the public; no tickets are required. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and seating will be on a first come, first served basis. A book signing and sales will follow the program.
