The great events in celebration of National Poetry Month just keep piling up! In addition to the workshop this Wednesday at the Harmony Library, you may also want to attend two other events in Loveland this weekend. Second Fridays are “Night on the Town” in Loveland, and this week, in addition to the long-anticipated official opening of the Rialto Theatre expansion (aka The Rialto Bridge), you can find live poetry at Anthology Book Company on 4th Street from 6-8 p.m. Bhanu Kapil and Veronica Patterson are the featured poets, but the mic will be open! You can sign up for a 5-10 minute time slot at the front desk or email matt@anthologybookcompany.com. Then come back on Saturday to the Loveland Museum and Gallery for a marathon open reading from 11-4 (or drop in for part of that as it works into your schedule). No advance registration required for that one.
So, if poetry isn’t in your life this week, you have no one to blame but yourself!
