The Art of Racing In the Rain author comes to Ft. Collins

Gleaned from CSU's Website:

Garth Stein, author of the best-selling novel, The Art of Racing in the Rain, is coming to campus Nov. 7 for two presentations in the Lory Student Center theatre at 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

The event, supported by the Friends of CSU Libraries, is part of Fort Collins Read 2010. Tickets for Stein's presentations are $5, and on sale at local bookstores and online through the Lincoln Center box office.

The Art of Racing in the Rain is about a dog's perspective on navigating life's ordeals and is the 2010 pick for the Fort Collins Reads program. A heart-wrenching but deeply funny and ultimately uplifting story of family, love, loyalty, and hope, The Art of Racing in the Rain is a beautifully crafted and captivating look at the wonders and absurdities of human life ... as only a dog could tell it. "The Art of Racing in The Rain has everything: love, tragedy, redemption, danger, and – best of all – the canine narrator Enzo. This old soul of a dog has much to teach to us about being human. I loved this book," said Sara Gruen, author of Water for Elephants.
